The College of Medicine – Phoenix International Research Fellowship Program is dedicated to nurturing global connections through research development and publication, under the guidance of experienced faculty mentors here at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine – Phoenix.
The research fellowship program is designed to equip and empower fellows with enriched research insights and advanced systems experience to their home countries. By immersing themselves in this transformative experience, candidates not only contribute to the global advancement of medical knowledge but also establish enduring connections that transcend borders.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduated from Medical School
- Passed USMLE 2 exam (*only required for specific departments)
- Full comprehension of the English language, both written and oral
- Research experience is preferred
- Commit to a self funded fellowship of at least 12 months
- Meet criteria for securing a qualifying visa from the United States Embassy in the applicant’s country of origin to remain in the U.S. for the duration of the fellowship.
