Part-Time Employment Opportunities
The following part-time opportunities are open to Banner – University Medical Group faculty:
- Co-director, Family, Community & Preventive Medicine Clerkship (0.10 FTE).
- Co-director, Intersessions (0.10 FTE).
- Co-director, Oral Health (Dental) (0.10 FTE).
- Co-director, Oral Health (Medical) (0.10 FTE).
- Co-director, Simulation Curriculum (0.20 FTE).
- Co-director, Sub Internship (0.10 FTE).
- Director, URM Mentoring (0.10 FTE).
- Longitudinal Active Learning (LAL) Facilitator (0.05 FTE).
Announcements
- The 2023 Banner Annual Academic Review (BAAR) is closed to faculty. The final completion rate was 94%. The chair, or delegate, will complete their evaluations by the end of April. Once complete, faculty can access their final annual review by logging back into BAAR. There is a print option, if desired.
- The next deadline to submit your clinical promotion dossier to your faculty coordinator is September 1, 2024 (effective date of July 1, 2025).
- Making the Rounds is a podcast available via Spotify. Listen to experts from Banner Health talk about important medical topics.
Recent Promotions
The following Banner – UMG faculty received a faculty title promotion:
- Firas Abbas, MD, was promoted on February 1 to associate clinical professor on the clinical series track in the Department of Internal Medicine.
- Raed Alalawi, MD, was promoted on February 1 to clinical professor on the clinical series track in the Department of Internal Medicine.
- Kenneth Klein, DO, was promoted on February 1 to associate clinical professor on the clinical series track in the Department of Internal Medicine.
- Wilber Su, MD, was promoted on January 1 to clinical professor on the clinical series track in the Department of Internal Medicine.
- J. Peter Weiss, MD, was promoted on January 1 to associate clinical professor on the clinical series track in the Department of Internal Medicine.
Faculty, who applied for promotion in cycle #2 of 23/24, will be notified by June 15 for an effective date of July 1, 2024.
